Italy SdI e-invoicing integration (FatturaPA)
Italy runs Europe's most established clearance model: every invoice passes through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) in FatturaPA XML before it reaches your customer. We integrate your ERP, POS, or billing software with the SdI so your invoices clear and your cross-border data is reported.
Prefer to write? Email sales@nowgray.com with the software you run today and your timeline.
E-invoicing through the SdI has been mandatory for B2B and B2C since 1 January 2019, and was extended to flat-rate and smaller taxpayers in 2024. Cross-border transactions are reported through the SdI too.

What is Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) in Italy?
Italy's Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) is a clearance platform operated by the Revenue Agency. Every domestic invoice is sent to the SdI in the FatturaPA XML format, the SdI validates and delivers it to the recipient, and only then is it a legally issued invoice. Italy pioneered this model and it is now fully mature.
E-invoicing through the SdI has been mandatory for B2B and B2C since 1 January 2019, and was extended to flat-rate and smaller taxpayers in 2024. Invoices are routed using the recipient's SDI code (codice destinatario) or certified email (PEC). Cross-border transactions, which used to be reported through the esterometro, are now reported through the SdI as well.
We handle the SdI connection, the FatturaPA format, routing, and clearance so your invoicing is reliable.

Dates and thresholds change, and scope depends on your exact situation. Treat this page as a starting point, confirm the detail with the Agenzia delle Entrate (Italian Revenue Agency), and tell us what you run today, we will tell you plainly what an integration would involve.
Built into the software you already run.
We integrate the SdI into your existing ERP, accounting, or POS: FatturaPA generation, routing, clearance, and cross-border reporting. If you are expanding into Italy, we get your invoicing SdI-ready before your first sale.
Because the SdI is a clearance system, the delivery receipt is what proves the invoice was issued. We make that flow dependable.
