Vietnam e-invoicing integration
Vietnam requires electronic invoices registered with the tax authority, and now e-invoices generated from cash registers connected to the tax database for many retail and household businesses. We connect your POS, ERP, or billing software to the GDT so invoices carry a valid tax authority code.

E-invoices are mandatory, and cash-register e-invoices connected to the tax authority apply to many retail and household businesses (reported from 1 June 2025 for business households with revenue of VND 1 billion or more). Rules were updated again in 2026.
- Tax authority code (coded e-invoices)
- Cash-register e-invoices
- GDT connection
- QR code on receipts
What is E-invoices with tax authority code in Vietnam?
Vietnam has required electronic invoices for several years. For coded e-invoices, a unique tax authority code must be issued by the General Department of Taxation (GDT) before the invoice reaches the buyer. The GDT returns a code and a QR code for display on the receipt.
The system has expanded to cover e-invoices generated from cash registers connected to the tax authority's database. Reporting points to business households and individual traders with annual revenue of VND 1 billion or more being brought into cash-register e-invoices from 1 June 2025, with further decrees updating the framework and thresholds through 2026.
Because the rules have changed repeatedly, we connect your software to the GDT and keep it aligned with the current decrees so your invoices carry a valid code.
