E-commerce Development · Shopify Stores, Themes, Apps & API Connectors

Shopify builds that do what your business actually does.

Custom Shopify stores, bespoke themes, private apps, and the API connectors that tie your storefront to the systems already running your business. Built by a team that has been shipping commerce software since 2018.

When to hire us

  • Your theme is a purchased one patched with a dozen apps, and it is slow, fragile, or both
  • You are paying for several Shopify apps that each do a fraction of what you actually need
  • Orders are retyped into Tally, an ERP, or a courier panel by hand every day
  • You sell B2B and need per-customer pricing, quotes, or credit terms Shopify does not do natively
  • You are moving off WooCommerce or Magento and cannot afford to lose search rankings
  • You need GST-compliant invoicing and Indian payment and courier integrations that actually work

What e-commerce development covers

E-commerce development is the work of building and extending an online store: the storefront customers browse, the checkout that takes their money, and the integrations that move an order into fulfilment, accounting, and support without anyone retyping it. On Shopify specifically, that work splits into four areas: store setup and configuration, theme development for the storefront, app development for behaviour the platform does not ship with, and API connectors that join Shopify to everything else you run.

Most stores outgrow their theme before they outgrow Shopify. A merchant starts on a purchased theme, adds four or five apps to patch gaps, and ends up with a storefront that loads slowly, breaks on updates, and still cannot do the one thing their business genuinely needs. The usual fix is not a replatform. It is a properly built theme plus a small private app that does the specific job, replacing the stack of subscriptions that were each solving a fraction of it.

We build Shopify themes with Online Store 2.0 sections so your marketing team can rearrange pages without a developer, and we keep Core Web Vitals in scope rather than treating speed as a later problem. Slow storefronts lose conversions, and since Google measures interaction latency in the field, a heavy theme costs both revenue and ranking.

For behaviour Shopify does not cover, we build private and custom apps against the Admin GraphQL API, Storefront API, and Shopify Functions: bespoke pricing rules, B2B wholesale portals with per-customer catalogues, subscription logic, warehouse and courier hooks, and approval flows. Where a merchant wants to sell to a public audience, we build and submit public apps to the Shopify App Store.

API connectors are usually where the real operating cost sits. We connect Shopify to ERP and accounting systems including Tally and Zoho Books, to Indian payment gateways such as Razorpay, PayU, and Cashfree, to courier and logistics providers like Delhivery, Shiprocket, and Blue Dart, and to CRM, WhatsApp, and marketplace channels including Amazon and Flipkart. GST-compliant invoicing is handled properly rather than bolted on, because Indian commerce needs it and most global apps do it badly.

We also handle replatforming. Moving from WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart, or a custom PHP store onto Shopify means migrating products, variants, customers, order history, and above all the URLs, so the SEO equity you built over years survives the move.

What we deliver

The capabilities, spelled out.

Shopify store development

Full store builds on Shopify and Shopify Plus: catalogue architecture, variants, collections, markets, multi-currency, and checkout configuration. Set up so it stays manageable as the catalogue grows.

Custom theme development

Bespoke Online Store 2.0 themes in Liquid, with editable sections and blocks so marketing can build pages without a developer. Performance budgeted from the start, not retrofitted.

Shopify app development

Private, custom, and public apps built on the Admin GraphQL API, Storefront API, and Shopify Functions. Replaces stacks of subscription apps that each solve part of the problem.

API connectors & integrations

Shopify joined to ERP, accounting, CRM, payments, and logistics: Tally, Zoho, Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, Delhivery, Shiprocket, WhatsApp, Amazon, and Flipkart. Orders flow without retyping.

Headless & custom storefronts

Hydrogen and Next.js storefronts on the Storefront API when a brand needs a front end Shopify themes cannot express, or content and commerce living in one system.

Migration & replatforming

WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart, and custom stores moved to Shopify with products, customers, and order history intact, and URL redirects mapped so rankings survive.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you build on Shopify only, or other platforms too?

Shopify and Shopify Plus are our default recommendation for most merchants because hosting, PCI compliance, and checkout are handled for you. We also work with WooCommerce, and we build fully custom commerce systems when a business model genuinely does not fit a platform. We will tell you honestly which one your case needs.

What is the difference between a private app and a public app?

A private or custom app is built for your store alone and installed directly, which is what most merchants need. A public app is distributed through the Shopify App Store for any merchant to install, and it has to pass Shopify's review. We build both, though the great majority of our app work is custom apps solving one business's specific problem.

Can you connect Shopify to Tally or our existing ERP?

Yes. This is one of the most common things we are asked for. We sync products, stock, orders, customers, and GST-compliant invoices between Shopify and Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, or a custom ERP. The integration runs on webhooks and scheduled jobs so it keeps working without anyone watching it.

Will migrating to Shopify hurt our Google rankings?

Not if the migration is done properly. The risk in any replatform is URL structure, so we map every old URL to its new one with 301 redirects, preserve titles, meta descriptions, and structured data, and keep the sitemap and internal links consistent. We monitor Search Console after launch and fix anything that moves.

How long does a Shopify build take?

A well-scoped store on a customised theme is typically 3 to 5 weeks. A bespoke theme with custom sections is 5 to 8 weeks. A custom app or a substantial ERP integration usually runs in parallel and adds 2 to 4 weeks depending on how cooperative the other system's API is. We scope properly before quoting.

Do we own the code you write?

Yes. Theme code, app code, and integration code are transferred to you with no vendor lock-in. You can take it to another team at any point. We would rather earn the next project than hold your storefront hostage.
