Belgium B2B e-invoicing integration (Peppol)

Belgium's mandatory structured B2B e-invoicing is in force. PDFs no longer count for domestic B2B: invoices must be structured (EN 16931, Peppol BIS 3.0) and exchanged over the Peppol network. We connect your software to a Peppol Access Point so you issue and receive compliant invoices.

Mandatory since
1 Jan 2026

Structured B2B e-invoicing has been mandatory for domestic transactions since 1 January 2026. Belgium uses the Peppol four-corner model, not a central portal.

  • Peppol Access Point connection
  • EN 16931 / Peppol BIS 3.0
  • Issue & receive structured invoices
  • PDFs no longer valid for B2B

What is Mandatory B2B structured e-invoicing (Peppol) in Belgium?

Since 1 January 2026, Belgian VAT-registered businesses must issue and receive structured electronic invoices for domestic B2B transactions. A PDF emailed to a customer no longer satisfies the requirement for in-scope transactions: the invoice has to be a structured document in the EN 16931 standard, and Peppol BIS 3.0 is the safe default.

Belgium did not build a central government portal. It uses the Peppol four-corner model, where certified Access Points exchange documents between your system and your customer's. A near real-time e-reporting layer is planned for 2028 but is not yet mandatory.

We connect your software to a Peppol Access Point and the right format so both issuing and receiving just work.

How we help

Built into the software you already run.

Because Belgium uses Peppol, the same connection often covers other Peppol countries you trade with.
