What is Fawtara e-invoicing (Peppol) in Oman?

Fawtara is Oman's national e-invoicing platform, operated by the Oman Tax Authority on a Peppol-based five-corner model. Invoices are exchanged through accredited service providers, and the tax authority receives the data, similar in shape to the UAE's approach.

The mandate is phased by taxpayer size. Reported dates put taxpayers with annual supplies above OMR 5 million from 1 April 2027 and those at or below OMR 5 million from 1 October 2027, with government entities targeted later. A voluntary onboarding window and a pilot opened during 2026, which makes now the low-pressure time to prepare.

We connect your software to an accredited provider and the required format so you are ready before your phase, not scrambling at the deadline.
